DUBAI: Pacer Mohammad Abbas, who wreaked havoc on Australia last month, is in doubt for the third and final Test against New Zealand starting December 3 in Abu Dhabi.
Abbas injured his right shoulder while fielding in the second Test after which the doctors advised him to rest.
The 28-year-old had destroyed Australia with a haul of 17 wickets in the series, becoming the first Pakistani fast bowler to take ten wickets in a Test since Mohammad Asif's feat against Sri Lanka at Kandy in 2006.
According to sources, the fast bowler has seen a specialist who said that it could take up to three to four weeks for the shoulder to heal.
Pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi is expected to replace injured Abbas in the Abu Dhabi Test.
