KHAIRPUR: A 100-foot breach developed in the bank of Sathiv canal near Mehar village has been plugged after four hours of hectic efforts, Geo News reported on Sunday.

The breach inundated hundreds of acres land and destroyed standing crops in Faat village, Usman Bhaiyo village, Jamali, Mehar Tariyo and other nearby villages.

The breach was plugged with the help of heavy machinery after closing the supply of water to Sathiv canal from Mirwa regulator.
