ISLAMABAD: The unannounced load shedding duration in most parts of country has reached 12-18 hours in a day despite the mercury has inclined closer to 50 degrees centigrade across country, Geo News reported on Sunday.

Routine of daily life has seen disturbance to a great extent as intense heat wave has battered country.

Met office has forecast dry and hot weather in most districts of Sindh province for a couple of days to come while 12-16 hour power outages have been put in place in Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Jaccobabad, Shikarpur, Kandhkot and others.

Loadshedding duration in Sukkur has increased to 10 hours a day.

South Punjab areas are witnessing identical situation, as 12-14 hour long power outages are a regular happening in Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Sargodha.

There is a 12-18 hour loadshedding in rural areas in Punjab.

In Balochistan, 12-14 hour power cuts continue in Jaffereabad, Jhalmagsi, Bolan and Naseerabad.
