As the Pakistan Super League (PSL) action moves to Karachi, we are looking forward to some more unforgettable performances and last-ball thrillers that keep us on the edge of our seats. 

Before it rains fours and sixes and stumps fly around, read up on the top batsmen and bowlers so far this season. 

Here are the highest run scorers from the ongoing PSL so far:

Shane Watson

After topping the batting charts for Quetta Gladiators last season with 319 runs in 10 matches, Shane Watson is once again out to destroy his opponents. 

The former Australian all-rounder is the highest scorer so far, with 332 runs this season at an incredible average of 47.42 and strike rate of 141.27.

His unbeaten 91 runs against Peshawar Zalmi and 61 runs off 40 against Multan Sultans propelled Gladiators to the playoffs and at the top of the points table.

We can’t wait to see the 37-year-old in action in Karachi!

Luke Ronchi

After an unforgettable PSL last year, former New Zealand wicket-keeper batsman Luke Ronchi has been smashing runs left, right and centre once again this season for Islamabad United.

Ronchi, with 297 runs from nine matches at a strike rate of 159.67, is the second-highest scorer of this PSL. He was instrumental in helping United pick their second title last year, and does not seem to be slowing down this season either.

Liam Livingstone

Karachi Kings' new signing Liam Livingstone exploded on the PSL scene after he and Babar Azam broke PSL records with a mammoth opening stand of 157 for Karachi Kings against Multan Sultans.

Their 157 runs came in just 15.4 overs, and it was the highest opening partnership in the tournament’s history.

With 280 runs so far at a strike rate of 134.61 which includes 20 fours and 14 sixes, can the Englishman lead the Kings to their maiden title?

And these are the leading wicket-takers so far:

Hasan Ali

With 18 wickets under his belt from nine matches, Peshawar Zalmi’s Hasan Ali tops the bowling charts at an economy of 6.54 and with best figures of 4-15.

The 24-year-old has already picked up four-wicket hauls twice in the tournament so far and looks set to finish the season as the highest wicket-taker.

Sohail Tanvir

After switching teams this season, Quetta Gladiators' Sohail Tanvir sits second on the bowling charts with 14 wickets from nine games.

The 34-year-old’s wickets have come at an economy-rate of only 6.25.

His best performance so far came against Islamabad United where his 4-21 paved the way for a seven-wicket win for the Gladiators.

Faheem Ashraf

For Islamabad United all-rounder Faheem Ashraf, this season has been brilliant.

He is third with 13 wickets from nine games at an economy of 7.30, and has been the match-winner for United twice with excellent displays against Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings.

Will he lead United to a third title? It remains to be seen.
