ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl) and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal leader Maulana Fazl ur Rehman said on Saturday that he is not in support of the presence of militant groups in the country.

Speaking in Geo News' show, Jirga, the JUI-F chief said that non-state militant groups should be shut down. "Such organisations must be mainstreamed if possible," he said.

The MMA leader appreciated Pakistan Peoples Party leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's politics and said that he has asked former president Asif Ali Zardari to put Bilawal under his mentorship.

"Zardari has learned a lot from me, he should bring Bilawal now," the JUI-F leader said.
