PESHAWAR: The principal of a privateschool in Nahaqi allegedly brutally tortured one of his students for "stealing a stapler" and left bruises on the boy's genitals, Geo News reported on Monday.
Speaking to Geo News, the student — who identified himself as Muhammad Usman — saidhe went out of his classroom during break time but upon his return, found a stapler in his bag.
The student explained that his principal at the Muslim Children Academy accused him of stealing a stapler and started to beat him. He claimed that he started to feel sick and vomited soon after the thrashing, and mentioned that he was hit in the genitals.
Police said they have noted the name of the principal; however, there was no word on whether a first information report (FIR) was filed and there was no report of action being taken either.
Upon request for comment, the school administration refused to make a statement.
The student's father has appealed the Department of Education to take notice of the incident.
