ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office Spokesman Dr Mohammad Faisal condemned on Monday the brutal atrocities against Kashmiris in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

The FO spokesman, in a statement, said that reports of horrific rape of another three-year-old girl in Bandipora emerged.

He further said that fresh reports of pellet gun firing on protesters came as Indian atrocities continued in the disputed valley.

Last year, gang rape and murder of an eight-year-old Muslim girl, Asifa, took place in a Hindu-dominated area of occupied Kashmir.

The case which initially seemed to be an isolated, heinous episode of sexual violence has escalated communal tensions in IoK. Over the course of the investigation, the police found that the suspects engaged in the heinous act to drive out the Muslim community of Bakarwals from the tehsil.

For decades, human rights lawyers have been recording complaints against security forces, including cases of extrajudicial killings, torture in custody and rape. They believe abuses in occupied Kashmir are 'systemic'.
