Police torture ‘Geo News’ cameraman

LAHORE: Cameraman of ‘Geo News’, Waheed Butt was tortured by the police on Friday, Geo News reported. He was beaten because he was videotaping the arrest of a 12 year old by the Johar town police.

Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident and ordered the arrests of those involved.

CCPO Lahore has issued an order to suspend the concerned policemen.

Under the supervision of SHO Johar Town, the police arrested a 12 year old and when the ‘Geo News’ cameraman tried to make a video of this through his mobile phone, the police snatched his phone and tortured him.
