ISLAMABAD: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has asked to submit the army’s investigative report on National Logistics Cell(NLC) scam by June 30, Geo News reported Saturday.
Chairman Committee Chaudhry Nisar said that the army chief gave two months time to submit report but even after seven months, the report has not been submitted. He said that if army comes under scrutiny over wrong doings, the institution will not be blamed. He is of the view that three retired brigadiers are involved in the corruption.
Chairman Committee Chaudhry Nisar has also asked the CDA to submit report in one week related to the maligning billboards displayed against him in Islamabad.
While chairing a meeting, Nisar said that the capital city’s billboard was used to defame instead of using it for the developmental purposes.
The meeting reviewed the losses that NICL had to face due to investments in the stock markets.
The committee has asked Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to seize its hiring until the committee’s next meeting.
The PAC has also passed orders to take Rangers security back from the private officials.
