PM recommends names for appointment of ECP members from Sindh, Balochistan

Prime minister proposes three names each for ECP members from both provinces

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday made his recommendations for the Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) members from Sindh and Balochistan.

The prime minister wrote to Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani and Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser in response to their letters seeking his proposed names for the appointment of new ECP members.

For the appointment of members from Sindh, the prime minister has recommended the names of Justice (retired) Sadiq Bhatti, Justice (retired) Noor-ul-Haq Qureshi and Abdul Jabbar Qureshi.

Meanwhile from Balochistan, the names of Dr Faiz Kakar, Naveed Jan Baloch and Amanullah Baloch were suggested.

Copies of the letters have been sent to the chairman Senate and the speaker of the National Assembly.
