PML-N leader injured in Quetta firing

QUETTA: Unidentified armed men attacked and injured Pakistan Muslim League-N Balochistan chapter leader Saleem Jadoon on Patail road of the provincial capital on Wednesday.

"Unknown gunmen riding bike opened fire on Saleem Jadoon, injuring him," police said adding that the attackers managed to escape.

The victim was rushed to Civil hospital and later he was referred to Combined Military Hospital Quetta.

According to doctors, Jadoon received two bullets-one in his neck and another in his chest. He is stated to be in very serious condition.

He visited the party office on Patail road when he was attacked. The cause behind the attack could not be ascertained.

The police have started efforts to trace the assailants out. Further investigation was underway.
