SC issues NICL verdict in writing

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan Wednesday said in its verdict on NICL case issued in writing that the DG FIA had assured that Hussain Asghar's position would be restored in FIA, Geo News reported.

The verdict said that the court proceedings on the case were adjourned till Thursday on the assurance held out by the DG FIA.

It further said that the court would see whether Hussain Asghar actually takes charge of his assignment.

The verdict also stated that Suhail Ahmed had acted on the orders of the Supreme Court and the reports of his removal were received through media.

It said once the court issues a verdict, the concerned administration and judicial institutions become bound to implement the same under Article-190 and 5.

The apex court's ruling warned that action would be initiated if its orders were not implemented.
