KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik said Wednesday that MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s concerns related to Karachi are valid and that no operation is being conducted, however, targeted action is being done, Geo News reported.

Malik was chairing a meeting held at Crisis Management Cell to discuss law and order situation in the city. The meeting was attended by high rank officials including IG Sindh, Acting DG Rangers, DG FIA, FC Commander and Chairman PTA.

Important decisions were made in the meeting while Chairman PTA was asked to block illegal SIMs on immediate basis.

While talking to the media after the meeting, Malik said that peace will be restored at any cost in the metropolis and no body will be allowed to create havoc.

He said that no operation is being conducted and only targeted action is being done.

The Federal Minister claimed that since Tuesday no target killing has taken place and that the bodies of victims have been recovered from various areas who were killed earlier.
