FAISALABAD: Two more truckloads of relief goods weighing 18 ton were dispatched by the City District Government (CDG) Faisalabad to Nawab Shah (Sindh) for flood and rain affectees.

The trucks were dispatched from Iqbal Stadium under the supervision of DCO Naseem Sadiq, MPA Khwaja Muhammad Islam and others. The DCO said that family packets had been made containing 20 kilogram flour, sugar, ghee, pulses of grams and moong of 2 kg each, salt, tea packets, matches, red chilli, mineral water, washing and bath soap.

He said that arrangements had also been made for fair distribution
of the relief items among flood-affected families.

The DCO said that two truckloads of relief goods and daily-use items had already been sent to Sindh.

He vowed that 100 tons of edibles would be dispatched to flood affected areas of Sindh very soon. For this purpose, arrangements have been made to receive donation from philanthropists, he added.

MPA Khwaja Islam said that the CM Punjab was making elaborate arrangements for dispatching relief goods for the help of flood affected Sindhi people.

He said that PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif had reached flood-affected areas of Sindh for the help of affected people.

Special prayers were also offered for the early rehabilitation of flood-affected families. (APP)
