LAHORE: Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank Limited (PPCBL) is computerizing all its 159 branches to ensure optimum facilitation to its clients.

Bank's President and Chief Executive Officer Liaquat Durrani stated this, while addressing the officers promoted as Branch Managers/Vice Presidents of the Bank, here on Monday.

Durrani added the PPCBL, like other scheduled banks, was providing all available facilities to clients at all its 159 branches.

Following the directives of the Punjab government, the Bank management was restructuring the PPCBL on modern lines, he said, asserting that bank officials' training is under way with the computerization of the bank in zones of Lahore, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi, and its online connectivity with other banks.

Under the tough banking competition today, he observed, only those monetary institutions would survive, which had better liaison with their respective clients, besides, providing them fast and modern banking facilities.

Durrani said that Branch Manger was a backbone of the banking system. He called upon the newly promoted mangers to maintain a strong liaison with their respective clientage.

The PPCBL senior officers were also present on this occasion. (APP)
