Two senior officers held for corruption

QUETTA: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan arrested Quetta Electric Supply Company's two senior officials for misappropriation of funds here Thursday.

Balochistan sources told APP that the accused Superintendent Engineer (SE) Chando Mill and Executive Engineer (Xen) Mohammad Yaqoob had allegedly caused a loss worth Rs117.7 million to QESCO Sibi in connivance with local staff during their posting in RED-III Sibi.

The NAB has obtained physical remand from Accountability Court Balochistan for further interrogation from the accused, they said, adding further arrests are expected in this regard.

Meanwhile, NAB Balochistan vowed to expedite its efforts to bring the corrupt officials to book and retrieving the embezzled national exchequer. (APP)
