Indian rupee vs. US dollar falls to record low

MUMBAI: The Indian rupee on Tuesday dropped to a record low against the dollar, as fears about eurozone debt and a slowing global economy boosted demand for the US currency.

The rupee plunged to an all-time low of 52.50 as the currency markets opened.
