FAISALABAD: Inspector General Police Punjab, Javed Iqbal along with sub-committee members constituted by the Chief Minister Punjab on Wednesday visited Faisalabad to give final shape to the security arrangements in connection with Muharramul Harram.

RPO Faisalabad Aftab Ahmad Cheema, CPO Faisalabad Bilal Ahmad Kamyana and all DPOs of the region informed the sub-committee in detail about the security steps being taken by them in Faisalabad region.

The IGP directed the police officers that person indulging in publication/distribution of literatures pertaining sectarian hatred, provocative speeches and misuse of loud speakers should be arrested on the spot.

He also directed to keep constant liaison with the local religious
scholars and political leadership for maintaining harmony among various sects during the holy month. (APP)
