Govt bans pillion riding in Karachi

KARACHI: The Sindh Government has banned pillion ridding in Karachi with , Geo News reported.

The notification for the ban has been issued by the provincial home department.

Journalists, elderly people, women and children will be exempt from the ban.

Meanwhile, Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan said the government has information that suggests imminent terrorist activities in the city.

The move of putting in place a ban on pillion riding is aimed at protecting the citizens, he added.

He said initially the ban would remain in force till 10th of Moharram ul Haram.
