Parliamentary Committee to probe memo scam

ISLAMABAD: The Government on Monday ordered a probe by a Parliamentary Committee (PC) into the alleged memo allegedly written by an American national Mansoor Ijaz to the former American Admiral Mike Mullen.

"It has been desired that the Parliamentary Committee on National Security may conduct a probe on the subject issue," said an order of the Prime Minister Secretariat here.

According to it, the terms of the reference are " to probe into the memo purportedly written and sent by Mansoor Ijaz," and "to give consequential recommendations" on the subject.

The Prime Minister Secretarit has already written to National Assembly Secretariat, Cabinet Secretray and Secretray Law and Justice to ensure implementation of the order.
