KARACHI: Chairman MQM-Haqiqi Afaq Ahmed has been indicted in Jamil Baloch kidnapping case Monday, Geo News reported. Notices have been issued to witnesses in the case for January 12, 2012.
Judge Khalida Yaseen of Anti Terrorist Court (ATC) heard the case in Central Jail of Karachi. The case was registered in 2001.
Afaq Ahmed denied the charges against him after which the court summoned witnesses on January 12 hearing. He is currently released on bail.
Earlier, former MPA Younus Khan was also arrested in the case who was later released due to lack of evidence.
The case was pending against two unknown accused. Later the court was told that one of the accused had been identified as Afaq Ahmed, who was then arrested by police.
