LAHORE: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Javed Iqbal Tuesday directed to chalk out a comprehensive strategy to control rising crime in the provincial metropolis.
He said this while addressing a meeting here after taking serious notice of the rising crime in Lahore.
CCPO Lahore Ahmad Raza Tahir, DIG Operations Lahore Ghulam Mehmood Dogar and SP Sadar Shoaib Khurram, SP Investigation City Rana Shuja, SP Civil Lines Umer Saeed Malik, SP Model Town Owais Ahmad and SP Cantt Khasmat Kamal also attended the meeting.
The IGP directed the CCPO Lahore to immediately evolve an emergency plan for controlling the crimes like, robbery, dacoity, dacoity cum murder, mobile snatching, car lifting in Lahore.
He also directed to deal with criminals ruthlessly, without any discrimination and pressure so that law & order could be maintained at any cost.
He directed to brief him about the crime situation and the safety measures on weekly basis. (APP)
