22 drown as boat capsizes in Tamil Nadu

NEW DELHI: At least 22 people were feared dead early Monday morning when a boat capsized in a lake in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

According to officials, 25 tourists were on board the boat which was taking a scenic tour of the lake in Chennai when it turned over.

The toll increased due to late arrival of rescue teams, officials said.
