Naat contest begins on 18th

MULTAN: Naat competitions will begin inMultan and Khanewal on January 18 and in Lodhran from January 19 under the aegis of the Punjab Auqaf department.

The provincial and district level Naat contests were being organized by the Auqaf department in collaboration with Pakistan Television and Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation, says an official release.

The district level contest will begin at Jamia Masjid Bahauddin Zakariya at 9 am in Multan and Markazi Jamia Masjid in Khanewal at 10 am on Jan 18. On Jan 19, the contest will be heldat Jamia Masjid Naalay Wali in Lodhran at 10 am.

Four categories have been finalized for the participants. First category will comprise boys below the age of fifteen years and the second- girls below fifteen. The third category will comprise men from the age group of 15-25 and the fourth would comprise women of the age group 15-25. (APP)
