MULTAN: Eighty per cent development work has been completed on the phase-I of Industrial Estate Area Multan (IEM) while the second phase will be completed in March this year, officials said on Tuesday.

Punjab Industrial Estates Development Management Committee's assistant manager marketing Mian Asif told APP that sale of the plots at the IEM was in progress despite increase in their price and plots covering 40 acre area were sold out to industrialists from September 2011 to January 2012 in both phases of the IEM.

He said that price of an acre at IEM was Rs 6.5 million which had been increased to Rs 7.5 million per acre.

He said that electricity, sui gas and water supply facilities have been made available at the phase one and these have been checked while phase II would be completed in March 2012.

Mian Asif said that some 349 plots having areas ranging from one acre to eight acres were available with the IEM in both phases which were suitable for establishment of any kind of industry. (APP)
