Dr Qaiser appointed new vice-chancellor of KU

KARACHI: Prof Muhammad Qaiser has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of the University of Karachi.

This was announced in a statement issued here from the Governor House on Thursday.

It said that Governor Sindh, Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan, who is also the Chancellor of the public sector universities in the province, has appointed Dr Qaiser as the Vice-Chancellor of Karachi University.

Earlier, the Search Committee had presented its recommendations in this regard to the Governor.

Dr Qaiser prior to this appointment was serving as the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal Urdu University for Science and Technology (FUUAST).

Meanwhile, Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan, has appreciated the services rendered by the outgoing vice-chancellor of Karachi University, Prof. Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui.

The Governor also wished Prof. Siddiqui well in the time ahead.
