ISLAMABAD: Makhdoom Syed Mustafa Mahmood of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional has won the National Assembly seat from Rahim Yar Khan by securing 81745 votes. His closest rival was Tariq Chohan, an independent candidate.

Assistant Returning Officer Muhammad Afzal told APP that according to unofficial results Mustafa Mahmood secured 81745 votes while Tariq Chohan bagged 17940 votes.

As many as 103,929 vote were cast out of total 270,763 registered votes. The ECP had set up 206 polling stations for the by-election. (APP)
