LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that he will fight till the end to curb the incidents of kidnapping for ransom and will respond to the call of every aggrieved person.

He was addressing a big public meeting in connection with the recovery of abducted persons in Sukheki on Wednesday.

The Chief Minister said that there should be no room on this land for heartless hooligans and dacoits who kidnap innocent persons for ransom and such elements will be awarded deterrent punishment with the cooperation of the masses.

He said that it was a big achievement of district police to apprehend the kidnappers and recover the abducted persons and it deserves rich appreciation. He said that he will have no right to be called Khadim-e-Punjab if he failed to check the activities of dacoits and kidnappers.

The Chief Minister also met the family of Muhammad Yamin Kamboh who was recovered from kidnappers. Saira Afzal Tarar MNA, Ch Asadullah Arain MPA, Mian Shahid Hussain Bhatti MPA and former Federal parliamentary secretary Ch Afzal Hussain Tarar also spoke on the occasion and thanked the Chief Minister and police for the recovery of traders. Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif announced provision of furniture for Hafiz Abad Press Club, establishment of a girl’s college and construction of sports ground in Sukheki. (APP)
