ISLAMABAD: Afghan President Hamid Karzai stressed equitable and deeper collaboration between Pakistan and Afghanistan to sustain brotherly and close ties.
The Afghan President Hamid Karzai in a letter to Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, mentioned the Third Afghan-Iran-Pakistan Trilateral Summit in Islamabad that offered yet another opportunity to pursue bilateral dialogue between the two countries.
The President said he has often mentioned both privately and publicly that Afghanistan and Pakistan were twins and it was essential that they sustain a brotherly and equitable collaboration.
The President said he had a strong sense of a shared determination to ensure peace, security and prosperity for both the countries, assuming his government's full cooperation in realizing the mutual commitments made in Islamabad.
President Hamid Karzai also expressed gratitude for the warm reception and brotherly hospitality during his recent visit to Pakistan. (APP)
