MUZAFFAR GARH: Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif, has stepped in on the brutalities of more than hundred people on a woman in Muzzaffar Garh after Geo News broke the incident.

Reportedly, a mad mob of a rival family, with an aim of honour-killing, barged into the house of a man who had allegedly love-married one of their girls, but found no one else to target their anger at other than an old woman, the aunt of the man they were after.

The furious throng dragged her out of the house, ripped off her clothes and made her run bare naked in the streets before abducting her.

Meanwhile, Geo News aired the incident as breaking news, which moved the Khadim-e-Aala to order senior police/civil authorities to take immediate action, which they did to some extent.

As per sources, so far 26 of the culprits have been arrested.
