FIA arrests two NADRA officials

PESHAWAR: The FIA Crime Circle, Peshawar Saturday conducted raids on NADRA Offices and arrested two in charge officials of mobile teams namely Rizwan and Waqar Ahmad for issuing CNICs to Afghan nationals, official sources informed.

The relevant record regarding making CNICs for Afghans was also seized by the FIA.

The accused were involved in making CNICs for non-nationals in lieu of handsome amount. Many Afghan nationals managed to get passports on the bases of these CNICs.

It is recalled that FIA had arrested Assistant Director Passport Pir Khalid Shah in the same case a few days back for his connivance in the matter. Further investigations are underway. (APP)
