Police nab scores with loot worth Rs1.8mn
ISLAMABAD: Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police arrested 43 accused including 13 proclaimed offenders during last month and recovered looted items worth Rs1.8 million from their possession, a police spokesman said.

According to details, SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik assigned the task to Incharge CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon to arrest those culprits involved in crime of heinous nature.

Around 37 cases of various nature were resolved by the CIA police team during the last month while arrests of dacoits, thieves, narcotics
smugglers were also ensured.

CIA police also submitted the challans of these 37 cases into relevant courts after completion of investigation.

The teams of CIA police headed by In-charge CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon also recovered looted items worth Rs1.85 million from the various nabbed accused.

A total of 11 persons were also apprehended for their alleged involvement in possessing illegal arms and weapons were also recovered from their possession.

Seven cases were registered against drug pushers and cache of narcotics was recovered from them.

SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik has directed CIA Staff to further accelerate efforts to curb activities of criminal elements and provide maximum relief to citizens through effective policing. (APP)
