Minor dies of food poisoning

FAISALABAD: A nine-year-old boy was killed while more than 60 others including children and women got ill after eating contaminated Aalo-Chanay (potato and grams) in a polyhedral locality of Jhang.

According to the sources, children and women of Chak No.216 situated in the area of police station Mochiwala purchased Aalo-Chanay from an unidentified vender.

As soon as the children ate the Aalo Chaney, they fall ill and started vomiting. They were immediately rushed to rural health center but one of them Mehboob (9) son of Muhammad Riaz breathed his last in the way while condition of others is stated out of danger.

When contacted, Dr. Irtaza told that Aalo-Chanay was contaminated due to which the eaters were caught by diarrhea and cholera. (APP)
