ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested 19 outlaws including car snatchers, drug pushers, dacoits and recovered five stolen cars, six kilogram hashish, four pistols, five mobile phones and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Monday.
Station House Officer of Bhara Kau police station Inspector Mehbood Ahmed and SHO Sihala police Inspector Muhammad Hussain Lasi nabbed a total of seven persons and recovered four car (LXJ-4900, LEB-5709, LR-178,LEE-9740) from them which were found stolen from Raawalpindi, Okara, Lahore and Islamabad. Two pistols were also recovered from these nabbed persons identified as Khuram Shehazad, Aamir Javed, Asad Javed, Tauseef Arif, Qamar Zia, Nadeem and Kashif who also confessed their involvement in several car theft and dacoity incidents.
Sub-Inspector Shahid Mehmud from Secretariat police nabbed a car snatcher Munawar Jamal and recovered a car, mobile phone and cash from him.
ASI Muhammad Riaz from Shehzad town police recovered six kilogram hashish from a vehicle (LXC-7013) during special checking at Service Road near Zia Masjid and also arrested the occupant of vehicle Mughees Muhammad. Shehzad town police also arrested an accused Riaz and recovered 32 bore revolver form him while Nilore police arreted an accused Matloob in possession of 12 bore gun. Koral police apprehended six Afghan nationals Adnan, Shah Wali, Arshad, Nur ul Rehman, Khan Agha and Ali Razzaq who could not justify their stay in Pakistan.
Koral police arrested an accused Siddique in possession of rifle while ASI Ejaz Ali Shah from Aabpara police nabbed a mobile thief identified as Muzamil and recovered four stolen mobiles from him. Bhara Kau police arrested a bootlegger Kahsif in possession of two wine bottles.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons under relevant sections and further investigation is underway from them.
