PESHAWAR: Four persons were killed and another injured when the gunmen opened volley of bullets on a taxi car in the limits of Khazana Police Station here on Sunday.
According to district police, the ill-fated persons were coming to Peshawar for some work when reached at Shero Jangai village on Charsadda-Peshawar Road, their vehicle was ambushed by their rivals over old enmity.
The dead identified are Jan Muhammad alias Swati, Akhtar Munir alias Bunary sons of Lal Saeed, Jehanzaib and Ikram Khan.
Critically wounded taxi driver Sheraz Ali was rushed to Lady Reading Hospital for treatment. The victims belong to Mohmand Agency and are living at Taheedabad Peshawar due to old enmity.
It may be recalled that police have recovered huge quantity of explosive planted outside the house of victim Jan Muhammad on February 17, 2012. Police have registered case and started investigation. (APP)
