NFC: Centre, provinces partially agree on sales tax on services

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance Dr Hafeez Shaikh said on Monday that 80% collection made up to December 2011 will be distributed among the provinces on temporary basis and the provinces unanimously agreed on this decision.

The second meeting of 8th National Finance Commission was held here under the chairmanship of Finance Minister, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh also discussed draft report on the bi-annual monitoring on the implementation of NFC Award from July-December 2011.

The meeting was attended by Sindh Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and KP Finance Minister Humayun Khan.

However, Balochistan Finance Minister Mir Asim Ghelo and Punajb Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif holds the portfolio of Punjab Finance Minister did not attend the meeting. (Geo/APP)
