Former AJK President Sardar Abdul Qayyum passes away

ISLAMABAD: The former President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Sardar Abdul Qayyum passed away here on Friday. He was 91-years-old.

The AJK government has announced three days of mourning over the passing of Sardar Abdul Qayyum.

The former AJK president was among the founding leaders of the Kashmir freedom movement and the leader of the Muslim Conference which is the oldest political party in the region.
