Police foil attempt to kidnap banker Lawai

KARACHI: The police have foiled an attempt to kidnap an accomplished banker, president and CEO of a private bank Husain Lawai from his house in KDA Scheme, Geo News reported.

According to police, kidnappers entered Lawai’s house with the help of one of his security guards and detained him while he was leaving for mosque last night.

The kidnappers and the guard escaped in Lawai's car when the neighbour called the police. He was admitted to a private hospital for treatment after receiving injuries and was not available for police statement.

The car was later found from Korangi area.
