Jewellery shop looted

LAHORE: Three armed motorcyclists in broad daylight looted 200-tola gold ornaments from a jewellery shop at Soha Bazaar, Rang Mahal, on Friday.

Police said that the accused entered the shop of Shoaib, held inmates at gunpoint and looted gold ornaments worth millions of rupees and fled.

After the incident, traders of the market closed their shops, burnt tyres on the road and staged a protest demonstration against the robbery. They demanded police take notice of the incident and arrest the accused.

Police have registered a case against the accused and started investigation.
