ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has summoned the meeting of the cabinets Defence Committee to discuss issues related to the NATO supply route.
According to sources Pakistan’s Ambassador the United States Sherry Rehman will brief this meeting regarding relations with Washington.
The meeting will be attended by Federal Ministers, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, all three services chiefs and the ISI chief.
Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khan and Finance Minister Hafiz Sheikh called on the prime minister. Khar and Sheikh informed Prime Minister Ashraf about their meetings with US officials. Earlier Foreign Office spokesman Muazzam Khan said there had been no final decision on the NATO supply however discussions had been positive.
ISAF Commander General John Allen arrived in Pakistan on Sunday to hold talks with the civilian and military leadership over the reopening of the NATO supply route.
