ISLAMABAD: Prince Fahad bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Tabuk called the President Tuesday evening and conveyed Ramadan greetings.
Reciprocating the gesture the President also conveyed his felicitations and best wishes on the commencement of the Holy month of Ramadan to the Prince Fahad bin Sultan, the Royal family and the people of Saudi Arabia and prayed that the holy month may bring peace, prosperity and joy to all.
The President also conveyed his greetings and best wishes to Khadim Al-Harmain Al-Sharifain King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz.
Talking to Prince Fahad bin Sultan, the President said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy special relations that are deep-rooted in common faith, traditions and commonality of views.
The President said that he was very pleased with the outcome of the visit of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia last week and particularly thanked the Saudi King for giving audience to the Prime Minister in which a wide range of issues including bilateral and regional matters were discussed.
The President thanked the Saudi King for announcing a grant of US$100 million for the people of Pakistan saying that this gesture reflected the love and affection for the people of Pakistan.
The President said that he hoped that the Crown Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud would be able to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his earliest convenience and that he looked forward to welcoming the Crown Prince. (APP)
