Abducted student recovered; 3 arrested

PESHAWAR: The district police on Wednesday safely recovered an abducted student and arrested three kidnappers from Matani area.

SP, City, Asif Iqbal informed media that Haseeb Ali, a student of class 8th was kidnapped from Dalazak Road on the night of 19th June.

The kidnappers were demanding Rs 10 million as ransom for the release of Haseeb Ali. He said a case of kidnapping for ransom was registered at Paharipura Police Station and a police team was constituted to recover the student.

The SP said that police took action on receiving information about presence of kidnappers in Azakhel area of Matani and succeeded in safe recovery of the kidnapped student. Three kidnappers were arrested from the scene, he added. (APP)
