Explosions heard in Damascus

DAMASCUS: A string of explosions were heard in Damascus on Monday, an AFP correspondent said, adding that the blasts began at around 6:00 am (0300 GMT).

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also reported the sound of explosions and gunfire in Syria's capital city, without elaborating on which areas were affected.
