ISLAMABAD: Secretariat Police Islamabad on Friday arrested 25 suspects during search operation in its various localities including, a police spokesman said.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq have directed for keeping vigilant eye on suspected elements. As per their directions, teams of Secretariat police stations headed by Station House Officer Inspector Haq Nawaz Ranjha conducted special checking of various houses, under-construction buildings, inns and slum areas.
The police teams apprehended 25 suspects and investigation is underway from these nabbed suspects as they could not produce any authentic document for their identification.
SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq has appreciated this performance and directed all police officials to intensify patrolling and keep vigilant eye on suspected elements.
Meanwhile, Bhara Kau police arrested Shahid Abbass and recovered stolen mobiles from him while Ramna police arrested a thief Joseph Masih.
Industrial area police nabbed a motorcycle thief and recovered a stolen bike from him while Sabzi Mandi police apprehended Tayab Shehzad for possessing 30 bore pistol and 506 rounds.
Nilore police recovered 30 bore pistols from murder accused Kamran and Nazim Iqbal.
Kohsar police arrested Nadeem Khursheed for having two wine bottles.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway.
