PESHAWAR: At least five volunteers of a local tribal peace Lashkar were killed and seven others injured as militants attacked a position of the peace Lashkar in Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency on Saturday.

Official sources in the political administration informed that the militants associated with banned outfit operating in Khyber Agency attacked positions of the peace Lashkar in Akkakhel area.

At least five volunteers were killed and seven others injured in the attack. The volunteers retaliated to the attack. The militants fled after the gun battle.

Meanwhile, the miscreants blew up a NATO container through an IED explosion in Jamrud Bazaar. No human losses reported in the explosion. (APP)
