Decision on dual nationality issue today: CEC

KARACHI: The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Justice (retd) Fakhruddin G Ebrahim, has said that an important meeting of the commission would be held on Tuesday (today) to discuss the issue of dual nationality of the legislators in which crucial decisions will be taken.

He said that he was bound to implement the Supreme Court’s decision on dual nationality case.

Talking to the media at the Election Commissioner Office, Sindh, here on Monday, he said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) was highly serious over the law and order issue during the upcoming general elections and different proposals in this connection were under consideration.

The commission is fully geared up to hold the general elections and efforts were being made to increase the number of polling stations in the next elections.
