SA adopts resolution to ban toy-guns over Geo’s report

KARACHI: Not too long after Geo News directed its focus towards a significant issue of the culture of toy pistols among children, the public representatives also took cognizance of this issue and on Tuesday Sindh Assembly passed a resolution, banning the manufacturing and sale of such toys.

MPA of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Saifuddin Khalid presented the resolution before the Sindh Assembly.

Rising above their political differences, all the members present in the house expressed their support for the resolution.

Saifuddin Khalid thanked Geo News for highlighting the social issue and congratulated the channel over passage of the resolution.

The action by the public representatives is reflective of the fact that media played a role for social reforms in the past and it actively continues to fulfill its responsibility even today.
