Mobile phone services restored across country

KARACHI: Mobile phone services have been restored across the country, three hours after the Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik ordered the services restoration.

The cellular services were suspended in 48 cities across the country on 9th Muharram from 6 AM in accordance with the schedule citing terror threats.

Mobile phone services would also remain cut from 6 am to 8 pm on 10th of Muharram in 52 cities.

However, Rehman Malik, without giving any timeframe for Karachi, said that mobile services suspension on 10th of Muharram would be restored till end of the main procession.
