Administration arrests 12 profiteers

PESHAWAR: District administration Peshawar in its crackdown against profiteers arrested 12 more persons in posh area of Hayatabad and shifted them to central jail Peshawar.

Action against profiteers in Hayatabad has been initiated on the complaint of a delegation of the residents of Hayatabad, which called him on the District Coordination Officer (D.C.O), Mohammad Javed Marwat the other day.

On the complaint of the residents, especially appointed focal person on price-hike, Assistant Coordination Officer (A.C.O), Habibullah Arif arrested 13 profiteers on their identification.

The action of the district administration was highly appreciated by residents of the township, who also took-out thanks giving rally and chanted slogans in favour of D.C.O, Mohammad Javed Marwat and A.C.O, Habibullah Arif.

On the directives of D.C.O, the A.C.O while keeping the crackdown continued arrested 12 persons from Shamali Market, Nawab Market, Yusufzai Market and Bilal Market of Hayatabad. The arrested profiteers were included less weighing roti, steak (Kabab) sellers and vegetable sellers.

D.C.O Peshawar has urged the people to pinpoint such elements to A.C.O Peshawar and joining hands with administration against profiteers to arrest the menace.
