Jesse Metcalfe shared an exciting update of his 2006 hit rom-com John Tucker Must Die sequel.
At the premiere of Netflix's new drama Ripley, Metcalfe revealed some new details with Entertainment Tonight about the potential sequel.
Metcalfe said, "It may live on," adding, "I'm hopeful. I think this script that I've read is a great jumping-off point. It's really well executed."
He went on to reveal that he has read the script and praised his co-star, Arielle Kebbel for "developing it and pushing this along."
Metcalfe previously teased the sequel during a panel Q&A at a Chicago fan expo last month with costars Kebbel and Sophia Bush.
He said, “I think everybody's up for it, so hopefully it'll happen," which appears that he, Arielle, and Sophia are on board for the sequel, as per the outlet.
The actor was not sure whether his co-stars, Ashanti and Brittany Snow, would be on board. "I can't speak for them, but I know that they're in the script," Metcalfe shared.
Metcalfe expressed his interest to be part of this sequel and said he'd be "very excited" to get a chance to work on John Tucker Must Die sequel.
He further added, “I think it’d be cool. They rebooted Mean Girls… I think it makes sense, you know? I think we’re kind of in a Y2K moment right now. There’s definitely an appetite for it. So yeah, it feels good.”
